The national network of reuse centers

The goal of this project is to establish the national network of regional reuse centers that will collect, repair and resell products that would probably end as waste. In the first phase centers would start with reselling textile, furniture and consumer goods.

In 2016 the plan is to set up 5 regional reuse centers ( in Čakovec, Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka and Split founded as social cooperatives) and to reassure their strong market and advocating position through founding secondary cooperatives – the national network. In 2017 the plan is to establish re-use centers in other local communities (Osijek Karlovac, Labin, Kutina).

Community Centre Čakovec

The goal is to set up a sustainable  model for the use and for the governance of the public resource where the members of the community  have the possibility to engage in  group, social-entrepreneurial activities as well as social and cultural services and activities.

In 2016 through advocating and establishing partnership cooperation with the City of Čakovec and Međimurje County it is planned to establish the Community Centre Čakovec institution that would manage currently unused social-cultural places in Čakovec and broader.

Regional foundation for the development of local community and civil society

The goal of the project is to establish a local (regional) trust/foundation to support the partnerships, strengthen social capital and the civil society development in the Međimurje County. The trust will focus on the continuous support of projects and activities of the cooperatives and civil society organizations with values of the modern democracy and encouraging inter-sectoral cooperation, philanthropy, volunteerism and improving democratic processes and community social capital.

In 2016 it is planned to develop the foundation model and to establish a stable relationship with key partners and associates.

The development and the establishment of the national system for work integration

The goal of the project is the strategic cooperation of the public sector, private profit sector and private non-profit sector to develop and establish national system of work integration (e.g. through establishing Regional centers for training, rehabilitation and employment of the people with disabilities) and national work integration social enterprises network.

In 2016 it is planned through public and closed events initiate the establishment of the Working group for the development of the work integration system with the Ministry of labor and pension system and assure foundations for establishing the national network of social enterprises for work integration.
